Pantoja, 36, sustained a shoulder injury just 26 seconds into his title defence against Van, 24, in their initial encounter. Van subsequently became the second-youngest champion in UFC history.
Since then, Pantoja has not competed, while Van successfully retained his title against Tatsuro Taira in May.
