UFC middleweight champion Sean Strickland is recovering following an all-terrain vehicle accident that occurred on Monday night in Las Vegas. Strickland stated in an Instagram video that he was not wearing a helmet during the incident.

He described the accident, saying, "I let my buddy drive, he rolled us going, like, 60 (mph). We rolled like six times." Strickland showed a scratch on his head, attributing it to his head hitting the ground. He also displayed a scratch on his shoulder, which he said was from rolling and hitting concrete and dirt.

In a later update, Strickland indicated he was not badly hurt. He mentioned that his friend, Chris, went unconscious for a period and was taken to hospital, but Strickland believed he would be alright. Strickland, aged 35, reclaimed the UFC middleweight title in May.
