The UK Space Agency, part of the Department for Business, Innovation, Science & Trade (BIST), is inviting proposals for projects through its International Bilateral Fund (IBF). The fund aims to deepen international relationships, support economic growth, and build UK capabilities in the space sector.
At least £12 million in grant funding is available, with the agency expecting to fund between 8 and 12 projects. Each project could receive up to £1.5 million.
Applications are particularly encouraged for partnerships with entities in Canada, France, Germany, India, Japan, and the USA. However, proposals for collaborations with other countries, including emerging space nations, are also welcome if they align with the IBF's objectives.
All applications must demonstrate how the partnership supports both UK and partner country space priorities. Projects must commence on 1 April 2027 and can run for up to 18 months. The application deadline is 4 November 2026, with decisions expected in February 2027.
