Vocci has introduced a new device for meeting note-taking in a ring form factor, priced at $249. The lightweight ring, weighing under 6 grams and featuring titanium material, allows users to double-tap a button to start and stop recordings.
The device is capable of recording notes for eight hours on a single charge and comes with a charging case that provides up to three additional charges. While the ring effectively captures conversations, even in noisy environments, its accompanying software has been described as confusing.
The ring's design, which can appear as regular jewellery, has raised privacy concerns. Although it has a recording indicator, it faces the user, potentially allowing undisclosed recordings. Vocci states it encourages users to disclose when they are recording.
