Western Australia police have issued an appeal for public assistance to locate 10-year-old Lyndel Ningella, who went missing from Perth's outer northern suburbs on Saturday, 15 August. She was last seen leaving a home in Butler at approximately 5:45pm.
Lyndel is described as being about 160cm tall, of medium build, with long brown hair with blonde ends and dark brown eyes. At the time she was last seen, she was wearing black shorts and a black jumper.
Police believe Lyndel may have travelled up to 80km from Butler and could be in the Kwinana, Leda, Parmelia, or Wellard areas of Perth's coastal outer suburbs. Asst Supt Darren Hart of Mandurah district police stated concerns for her safety due to her young age, noting she is a 10-year-old girl "making her own way in the world."
An earlier alert on Monday afternoon mistakenly indicated she had been located, but this was reissued several hours later confirming she was still missing. WA police are urging anyone who sees Lyndel or has information regarding her whereabouts to contact them immediately.
