Fabio Wardley is preparing for a rematch against Daniel Dubois at London's O2 Arena this Saturday, five months after his initial defeat. Wardley, a former WBO world champion, was stopped by Dubois in the 11th round of their May bout, marking his first professional loss.
Following the May fight, Wardley stated he immediately requested a rematch from his promoter, Frank Warren. He returned to training within two weeks, despite sustaining a swollen eye and a cut nose in the previous encounter.
Wardley expressed confidence in his ability to adjust his fighting style for the upcoming bout, having reviewed footage of his loss. He believes he has demonstrated the capacity to knock Dubois down, having done so twice in their first fight, and is motivated by a desire for redemption and to remain a prominent figure in the heavyweight division.
