Welsh Fire secured a 15-run victory over London Spirit in their final match of The Hundred women's competition at Sophia Gardens. Georgia Wareham's maiden half-century in the tournament proved decisive, as she hit 50 runs from 34 balls to help Fire reach a total of 138-7.
Spirit's chase faltered early, with Fire seamer Grace Potts taking three wickets, including two in two balls, to dismiss the top three batters. Despite efforts from captain Charlie Dean, who scored 27, and Deandra Dottin, Spirit were eventually bowled out for 123 with five balls remaining.
With both teams already eliminated from the competition, the match was played for pride. Welsh Fire finished their campaign in fifth place in the table, while London Spirit ended in sixth.
