Waymo, owned by Alphabet, has commenced public robotaxi services in Denver, San Diego, and Tampa. This expansion extends the company's commercial operations to 14 cities across the United States.

The company stated on Tuesday that it will invite riders on a rolling basis and gradually increase access in these three cities, consistent with its established commercial approach. This move has expanded Waymo's fleet to over 4,000 vehicles, incorporating both Jaguar I-Pace hatchbacks and a new minivan model named the Ojai.

In Denver and San Diego, the Ojai, which features Waymo's sixth-generation self-driving system, will be the sole autonomous vehicle available to riders. Waymo is also planning to launch robotaxi services in London and Munich.
