The Plaid Cymru-led Welsh government has struck a deal with Labour regarding its mini-budget, which had not passed during the summer. Ministers stated that the administration has now agreed to an additional £60 million for children with additional learning needs (ALN).

Labour, who are in opposition after the May Senedd election, had previously rejected a £40 million per year deal over three years in July. Welsh Labour leader Ken Skates had sought £100 million this year when the supplementary budget was last discussed.

First Minister Rhun ap Iorwerth commented on Tuesday, "This agreement reflects what can be achieved when parties across the Senedd work together." The budget is scheduled for debate in the Senedd on 3 November.
