West Wales agency launches property roadshow for stalled home sales

Fine & Country West Wales is launching a regional property roadshow, starting in Aberystwyth, to target vendors whose homes have not sold with other agents.

  • Fine & Country West Wales, in partnership with Homes of Wales, will hold the first event in Aberystwyth on Friday 21 August.
  • The initiative, named The Great Unlocking, aims to assist vendors, buyers, and homeowners with stalled moving plans.
  • More than half of Fine & Country West Wales' instructions are reportedly from clients who previously failed to sell with other agents.

An estate agency is launching a regional property roadshow, partly aimed at homeowners whose properties have not sold with other agents. Fine & Country West Wales, in collaboration with Homes of Wales, will host the first event in Aberystwyth on Friday 21 August.

The initiative, called The Great Unlocking, will focus on vendors, buyers, and homeowners whose moving plans have stalled. It also addresses property moves related to downsizing, relocation, family transitions, and passing homes to the next generation.

Nigel Salmon, managing director of Fine & Country West Wales, stated that the business is frequently appointed after another agent has been unable to secure a sale, with over half of its instructions being second or third-agent wins. He added that these events offer an opportunity to engage face-to-face with homeowners who have struggled to sell.

The Aberystwyth exhibition will showcase properties from Ceredigion, Pembrokeshire, and Carmarthenshire. Visitors can also meet team members to discuss buying, selling, and other property matters. The inaugural West Wales Property Exhibition will run from 9am to 4.30pm on Friday 21 August.

Why this matters: The initiative aims to address the challenges faced by homeowners in West Wales whose property sales have stalled, potentially offering new avenues for those struggling to sell.

What this means for you: If you are a homeowner in West Wales whose property has struggled to sell, or if you are looking to buy or sell in the region, these events offer an opportunity to discuss your options directly with estate agents.
