A woman has recounted her decision to wear sleeveless clothing in public for the first time at the age of 37, after years of covering her arms. The change occurred last month during a London heatwave, where temperatures exceeded 30C.
Previously, she had consistently worn layers, including cardigans, and opted for baggy, sleeved T-shirt dresses, feeling uncomfortable in more revealing attire. Despite understanding body positivity concepts, she continued to hide her arms.
The individual described a shift in perspective where her discomfort with the heat surpassed her long-held aversion to baring her arms. Following this initial experience, she continued to wear sleeveless clothing during a holiday and is now reconsidering her wardrobe choices.
