British rockers Wunderhorse have unveiled two new songs, 'Kerosene' and 'Promises', as they commenced their 2026 North American tour. The band kicked off their first headline shows of the year at the 9:30 Club in Washington DC last week, on July 23.

'Promises' was introduced around halfway through their 15-song setlist. Frontman Jacob Slater's lyrics for the track reportedly focus on themes of betrayal, doubt, and inner conflict.

Later in the set, Wunderhorse debuted 'Kerosene', which is described as having a heavier, more charismatic sound, drawing inspiration from '90s grunge and punk. Fans have noted similarities to Queens Of The Stone Age and Slater’s former band, Dead Pretties.

Since the Washington DC show, Wunderhorse have performed in Brooklyn, Boston, and Philadelphia, continuing to play both new tracks. They are scheduled to play in Toronto tomorrow, July 30, and at Osheaga Festival on July 31. The band will also headline Sheffield’s Rock N Roll Circus on August 29, one of two outdoor UK shows this year.

It is currently unclear when 'Kerosene' and 'Promises' will be officially released or if they are part of an upcoming album. Wunderhorse released their second album, 'Midas', in 2024.
