Chelsea forward Cole Palmer has been declared fit for the club's Premier League clash against Bournemouth at Stamford Bridge on Saturday. This follows his withdrawal from the England squad ahead of Nations League matches against Spain, Czechia, and Croatia, which was attributed to reported load management.
England manager Thomas Tuchel had previously raised concerns about Palmer, stating he "misses too many opportunities" to play international football. However, Chelsea manager Xabi Alonso has addressed the situation, asserting Palmer's commitment to representing England.
Alonso confirmed Palmer has been training and is feeling better, adding, "He's committed (to England) but he has to be fully fit to play. And when he's fully fit he will enjoy his minutes. We need him in that moment: the club and the national team."
In addition to Palmer, Alonso expects Reece James, Moises Caicedo, and Joao Pedro to be available for the Bournemouth game. Chelsea will be looking to rebound from a 3-0 defeat at Brentford three weeks ago.
