Rising star Miyu Yamashita, 25, has tied an LPGA Tour scoring record after a dominant nine-shot victory at the CPKC Women's Open in Canada. The Japanese golfer completed a four-under 66 on Sunday, finishing the week on a 23-under 257.

This 257 total matches the 72-hole tour record lowest total set by South Korea's Kim Sei-young in 2018. Yamashita also broke the tournament's record of 262, which was previously held by Ko Jin-young.

Yamashita, who was named the tour's rookie of the year for 2025, secured her fourth LPGA victory in 13 months. Her compatriot Yuri Yoshida finished second at 14 under par, with Kim Sei-young a shot further back in third.
