A 91-year-old customer experience manager at a McDonald's in Coventry has no plans to stop working, despite receiving widespread praise for his dedication. Eric Edwards, from Coventry, has been a part-time member of staff at the Gallagher Retail Park restaurant for over eight years.
Edwards' work recently gained significant attention after a family left glowing feedback on social media, which subsequently went viral. The family praised his efforts in clearing rubbish, assisting customers, and taking time to chat with their children, providing them with colouring activities.
Edwards, who has been widowed for 24 years, expressed his delight at the feedback. He explained that he enjoys his work and sees no reason to slow down, stating, "If it's something you're doing and you can still do it reasonably well, enjoy it and it keeps you going, why stop?"
