99-year-old recognised as world's oldest crowd surfer

A 99-year-old individual has been recognised by Guinness World Records for becoming the oldest person to crowd surf at a concert.

  • The individual was 99 years and 274 days old when they crowd surfed at a Brantley Gilbert concert in Bellville, Texas.
  • They were held up by the crowd for over three minutes.

A 99-year-old individual has been recognised by Guinness World Records as the oldest person to crowd surf at a concert. The record-breaking event took place at a Brantley Gilbert show in Bellville, Texas.

The individual, who was 99 years and 274 days old at the time, was strapped into a stretcher for the crowd surf. They were held aloft by approximately 20,000 people for more than three minutes, travelling in a U-shape across the mosh pit.

This achievement is part of a new chapter in their life, which began after retiring at 83. They now create social media content with their grandson, amassing over 4 million followers on Instagram for their comedy skits.
