Sacha Baron Cohen's character Ali G is set to return to screens next month in a new mockumentary film titled "Ali G: Who Iz I?". The film will see the skull-cap-wearing character starting a family with his long-term companion Julie, with Ali G reportedly expecting to be an "absent" father.
The character will also be seen embracing TikTok and donning new fake dreads and a rastacap. Ali G first debuted in 1998.
The return has already sparked debate, with a pressure campaign calling for cinemas not to screen the film, describing the character as a "racist caricature". This campaign has reportedly gathered over 46,000 signatures.
