Alison Hammond, 51, has shared an update from her hospital bed after being taken ill during a live broadcast of This Morning on Friday, 2 October. The presenter experienced heart palpitations while on camera and sought medical attention.
Addressing fans on social media, Hammond stated, "I'm getting me old ticker checked out. I had a little bit of a palpitation, and now I'm getting it all checked out, but I think I'm okay." She added that she was hoping it was "just a little panic attack or something like that."
Her co-host, Dermot O'Leary, 53, announced during the show that Hammond had to leave the broadcast, explaining, "Alison is feeling a little unwell, so she’s just had to duck out." Hammond was last seen clutching her chest before being helped away from the sofa.
