Amazon Prime Video and the National Hockey League (NHL) have finalised a multi-year agreement, giving Prime Video exclusive local streaming rights for six NHL teams. This arrangement will commence with the 2026-2027 hockey season.
The teams involved are the Carolina Hurricanes, Anaheim Ducks, Columbus Blue Jackets, Dallas Stars, Minnesota Wild, and St Louis Blues. Fans residing in these teams' regional territories will find their games exclusively on Prime Video.
According to Amazon, the streams will encompass games, along with pre- and post-game shows and other team-specific programming. Each participating team is expected to announce the specific details regarding their streaming packages and subscriptions for their respective regions.
NHL Chief Media Officer David Proper stated that the NHL presented various deals to the participating teams, who ultimately chose Amazon's offer. Prime Video already provides local sports coverage for several teams, including the Seattle Kraken, bringing their total exclusive local NHL team count to seven.
