Stars of the Netflix drama 'The Gentlemen', including Maya Jama, Hugh Bonneville, and Theo James, remained tight-lipped at the series two world premiere regarding reports that Meghan Markle, the Duchess of Sussex, is in talks for a role.
Theo James described the situation as "fascinating to watch, but ultimately it’s a lot of rumour," while Maya Jama stated, "I’d be the last person to know!" Executive producer Matthew Read declined to confirm or deny the reports, adding that they were looking forward to "more energy and surprises" in the series.
The comedy action series, created by Guy Ritchie, was a hit in 2024 and has officially been greenlit for a third series. Discussions with Meghan are understood to be in the early stages, though details of any potential role have not been revealed.
The second series of 'The Gentlemen' is set to be released on Netflix on 3 September.
