Anthropic has released Fable 5.1, an updated version of its advanced AI model, which is now available on cloud platforms or through the Anthropic API. The company states that the new Fable release includes changes intended to reduce token costs and lessen false-positive restrictions from the model's safeguards.
A significant change is the introduction of Zero Data Retention, allowing clients to operate Anthropic models on their own infrastructure without data outflows. A high-privacy service, named Enterprise Frontier Safeguards, is set to roll out to users in June. This system will monitor for misuse, with clients controlling how this monitoring occurs.
Anthropic also released Mythos 5.1, a twinned version of the model, which will be accessible only to registered Anthropic partners involved in cybersecurity or life sciences research. The company affirmed that it has never trained on enterprise data without explicit permission.
