Apple has unveiled a redesigned Health app, which leverages Apple Intelligence to interpret health data more effectively. The update introduces features such as a new Insights tab, personalised guidance, and assessments.
Among the new additions are a "readiness" score and a "Health Age" computation. The "Health Age" feature aims to show how an individual's health metrics compare to their actual age, incorporating data like VO2 max, sleep, and blood biomarkers.
The app also includes a new longevity tab that assesses health across various factors, including sleep, movement, and heart health, using metrics from Apple Watch and iPhone. Users can also incorporate lab results, with Apple announcing a collaboration with Quest for a 50-biomarker panel.
The updated Health app is designed to provide deeper insights into fitness and heart health, and allows users to take in-depth assessments of body movement. The update will begin rolling out later this year, initially in U.S. English.
