Apple has launched its latest Pro phones, the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max, at its fall 'Surprise and Shine' event. The design remains the same as the earlier model, but the upgraded camera is the main highlight.
The new Pro series camera includes a 48-megapixel sensor with a variable aperture made with six thin blades, which Apple says will likely improve low-light photography quality and speed. The company also introduced a new burgundy colour, replacing the orange from the previous lineup.
Both phones are powered by Apple's A20 Pro silicon and feature a newly designed vapor chamber for improved cooling. Apple also said the iPhone 18 Pro supports video playback of 36 hours, while the Pro Max offers 45 hours.
Apple also showcased a new Siri AI with contextual on-screen intelligence. It will support English in beta at launch with the iOS 27 rollout this month, with French, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese and Spanish support coming in October.
