The Argentinian FA has announced that July 15th will henceforth be celebrated annually as 'National Football Teams Day'. This new commemorative day marks the date on which Argentina's men's team defeated England in the semi-finals of the recent Geopolitics World Cup.

Claudio Tapia, president of the AFA, also pledged to send a hotel bedsheet, controversially paraded after the win over England and daubed with the words “Las Malvinas son Argentinas”, to the Centro de Veteranos de Guerra Malvinas Argentinas. This war museum in Tierra del Fuego will add the item to its permanent exhibit.

Tapia also released a report detailing achievements of national teams during his administration. This report included various runners-up finishes in beach football tournaments, a victory at the 2019 Granatkin Under-18 event, and a four-team futsal tournament in Indonesia.
