Worcester police chief Paul Saucier stated that the warrant charges Karen Solomon with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon. Chief Saucier confirmed that Kurt Solomon, a 31-year veteran officer, was mortally injured by a sharp object, though the precise weapon was not disclosed.

Karen Solomon was last seen on Tuesday morning in a doorbell camera video, walking down a street shortly after Worcester police officers responded to a call from the home.
