An arrest warrant has been issued for Karen Solomon, 58, a mental health advocate, who remains missing more than five days after police discovered her husband, Massachusetts officer Kurt Solomon, dead in their home.
Worcester police chief Paul Saucier stated that the warrant charges Karen Solomon with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon. Chief Saucier confirmed that Kurt Solomon, a 31-year veteran officer, was mortally injured by a sharp object, though the precise weapon was not disclosed.
Karen Solomon was last seen on Tuesday morning in a doorbell camera video, walking down a street shortly after Worcester police officers responded to a call from the home. The city of Worcester announced on Friday that public spaces around Coes Pond will remain closed as a search, involving dive teams and police dogs, continues.
A wake for Kurt Solomon is scheduled for Tuesday, with his funeral to follow on Wednesday.
