Arsenal have expressed an interest in signing Bayer Leverkusen defender Jarell Quansah. Talks are currently at an exploratory stage, with sources suggesting a deal for the 23-year-old is possible.
This potential move follows further discussions by Arsenal regarding a transfer for Aston Villa defender Ezri Konsa. Villa are seeking around £60m for Konsa, while Arsenal value the 28-year-old closer to £40m.
Quansah, who can play both centre-back and right-back, fits the profile of player Arsenal are seeking. However, it remains uncertain if their interest in the former Liverpool defender is a tactic in their pursuit of Konsa.
Liverpool reportedly have the option to match any offer for Quansah, a clause from his transfer to the Bundesliga club last year. Quansah made 44 appearances for Leverkusen last season, scoring five goals.
