Former England captain Michael Vaughan has criticised a 43% increase in ticket prices for next year's men's Ashes Test at Edgbaston, calling it "really poor". The Birmingham ground is set to host the third Test of the series between England and Australia next summer.
Tickets for the Hollies Stand, which can hold almost 6,000 spectators, will cost £165, an increase from £115 in 2023. Across the stadium, the cheapest adult tickets for the first three days are £115, with all tickets incurring a £2.50 booking fee. Members can purchase tickets for £92.
The ticket ballot for the 2027 Ashes opened on Wednesday. Prices are also higher at Lord's and the Oval in London, where the best tickets are priced at £190 and £185 respectively.
