AURORA is commemorating a decade since the release of her debut album, 'All My Demons Greeting Me As A Friend', with a special reissue. This anniversary edition, which includes a unique moth-inspired vinyl pressing, is scheduled for release on 25 September.
The reissue features the previously unreleased title track, 'All My Demons Greeting Me as a Friend', and a collection of alternate song versions dubbed 'The Moth Tapes'. These tapes offer a new perspective on the album, built around intimate early recordings, demos, and material from the original era that has not been heard before.
Among the tracks on 'The Moth Tapes' are demos for 'The Silent Twins', 'Running With The Wolves', and 'Let Me Heal You'. A 2013 demo of the song 'Runaway' is also included, following its viral breakthrough in 2021 and renewed interest in 2026, having achieved over three billion combined streams.
AURORA commented on the release, stating, "It feels vulnerable to release something unrefined, but I know sometimes that is what people need the most." She expressed hope that these songs would "create and bring back some good memories."
This release follows AURORA's third book earlier this year, which also marked the album's 10th anniversary with content from her early notebooks, sketches, and commentary. In other news, AURORA's latest solo album, 'What Happened To The Heart?', was released in 2024, and she has since formed the band TOMORA with Tom Rowlands of The Chemical Brothers, releasing their debut album 'Come Closer' this year.
