Barry Manilow has cancelled additional concert dates in Las Vegas as he undergoes treatment for lung cancer. The 83-year-old singer ended his performance at the Westgate Las Vegas Resort & Casino after 40 minutes on Thursday, citing "technical difficulties."
Subsequently, Manilow announced the cancellation of his Friday and Saturday night shows. A statement on his Instagram page attributed the cancellations to "technical and vocal problems." Refunds for the affected performances will be issued automatically to fans.
Manilow disclosed his lung cancer diagnosis in December last year, crediting early detection during an MRI scan. He underwent surgery to remove a tumour on his left lung, which led to the postponement of his Las Vegas residency and other tour dates earlier this year.
