Def Leppard guitarist Vivian Campbell has confirmed he is undergoing treatment for cancer once more, following an unsuccessful donor transplant. Campbell, 63, first announced his diagnosis of Hodgkin’s lymphoma in 2013, which subsequently returned in 2015.
Speaking to El Salvadorian radio station YSKL, Campbell revealed he had a stem cell transplant in January 2025, but it "didn't stick", leading to the cancer's return. He stated he is continuing treatments to manage the condition.
Campbell expressed his hope for another transplant operation within a few years. He also intends to continue performing with Def Leppard, who are currently on an international tour and releasing new music.
