The BBC has revealed that four new pundits will be joining its Match of the Day team for the upcoming Premier League season. Former Tottenham and Brentford manager Thomas Frank, along with recently-retired Ashley Young, will be part of the coverage. They will be joined by ex-Belgium centre-half Toby Alderweireld and former Spurs player Robbie Keane.
This quartet will bolster an existing roster of pundits that includes Wayne Rooney and Alan Shearer. Gabby Logan, Mark Chapman, and Kelly Cates are set to continue as the presenting trio for their second season, having taken over from Gary Lineker.
However, a significant change sees Saturday lunchtime's Football Focus cancelled after 52 years on air. Instead, BBC One will broadcast The Football Interview, featuring Kelly Somers speaking with Tottenham midfielder James Maddison ahead of the new top-flight season's first Saturday.
