Assault and intimidation charges against Ahmed al-Ahmed, who disarmed a gunman during the Bondi Beach terror attack, have been withdrawn by prosecutors.
Mr al-Ahmed, 44, had been accused of putting his father in a headlock on 9 March and intimidation over an alleged incident in June. He pleaded not guilty to both charges at Bankstown local court on 24 June.
Court documents indicate that an apprehended domestic violence order protecting his father will remain in place for 12 months.
Mr al-Ahmed's lawyer, Mohamad Sakr, stated in June that his client would maintain his innocence. Mr al-Ahmed had previously alleged that family members were seeking a portion of the $2.5m raised for him after his actions during the massacre.
