British boxer Raven Chapman, 32, has undergone emergency brain surgery in Denmark after collapsing following a sparring session last month. Her management confirmed she was diagnosed with a brain haematoma and cerebral oedema.

The procedure successfully stopped the bleeding and helped stabilise swelling, after which Chapman was placed in a medically induced coma. She is now off sedatives and is awaiting medically supervised repatriation to a UK hospital.

A lengthy rehabilitation is anticipated for the Norwich-born boxer, who competed for the WBC world featherweight title in 2024. A GoFundMe page has been established to support her recovery.
