British boxer Raven Chapman was airlifted to hospital and placed in a medically induced coma after suffering a brain bleed following a sparring session in Denmark on 24 July. The 32-year-old collapsed after training and was taken by helicopter to hospital, where she was diagnosed with a brain haematoma and cerebral oedema.

Her management company, Vote Boxing, stated that Chapman underwent emergency surgery to stop the bleeding and reduce swelling. She was then placed in a medically induced coma.
