British cyclist Matthew Brennan, riding for Visma-Lease a Bike, powered to his third stage win at the 2026 Vuelta a Espana on Wednesday. The 21-year-old triumphed in a sprint finish on stage 11, a 153.8km route from Cartagena to Lorca.
Brennan held off Bryan Coquard of France and Jordi Meeus of Belgium to secure the victory. He celebrated by holding up three fingers, marking an impressive trio of wins in his first Grand Tour, having also won stages two and five.
Overall leader Enric Mas of Spain maintained his grip on the red jersey, holding a one minute and 18-second lead over Primoz Roglic. Britain's Oscar Onley is currently in fourth place in the general classification.
Brennan praised his team, stating, "The boys did a fantastic job within that last 10km to really keep us in the right place, in the right position, out of trouble. And we crossed the line first, so we're super happy."
Thursday's 12th stage will see riders tackle a 166.6km mountainous route from Vera, featuring five categorised climbs and a summit finish at Calar Alto.
