The Carabao Cup is set to decide its third round ties tonight, Wednesday 26 August, as Premier League teams participating in European competitions join the tournament. Holders Manchester City, along with Arsenal, Manchester United, Aston Villa, Liverpool, Bournemouth, Sunderland, Brighton, and Crystal Palace, will all discover their opponents.
A pre-draw is scheduled to take place around 7:30pm BST to determine whether the eight Premier League clubs involved in European competitions will play at home or away. This pre-draw aims to avoid clashes in UEFA competitions.
The main draw is expected to commence around 10:15pm BST, following the conclusion of the second round tie between Preston and Everton. The first eight ties will feature the European-competing clubs, whose home or away status will have already been decided, drawn against other teams in the competition.
