Owners of a block of six flats in central London are preparing to replace their managing agent, citing poor communication and unreliable service. The decision follows a two-month wait for CCTV footage requested after a theft.
E-bikes secured to a car in an allocated parking bay were reportedly stolen. The managing agent informed the owners that a third party manages the cameras and they were awaiting confirmation on footage availability, with no further updates provided.
Additionally, there have been repeated instances of fly-tipping in the rubbish collection area, which is understood to be covered by CCTV. Owners have been billed extra for the removal of dumped items, but have not received an explanation regarding whether footage was reviewed to identify those responsible.
The owners, who are leaseholders and equal shareholders in the freehold, are preparing to give three months' notice to the current agent and are seeking recommendations for a replacement.
