Chainsaw artists have impressed crowds at the opening day of the APF International Forestry Machine Exhibition at Ragley Hall, near Alcester, Warwickshire. Visitors watched carvers transform logs into sculptures as part of the popular competition.
The exhibition, which is celebrating its 50th anniversary this year, also features tree-felling demonstrations, fence-building displays, and the latest forestry technology. World and European championships in 25m pole climbing are also hosted at the event.
First held in 1976 at Longleat Safari Park, the APF exhibition attracts visitors and industry professionals globally. Around £90m worth of machinery is on display at the event, which runs until Saturday.
