Chantelle Cameron has become the unified light-middleweight champion after defeating Mikaela Mayer by unanimous decision. The British fighter added the WBA and WBC titles to her existing WBO belt following an encounter decided by scorecards of 97-93, 97-93, and 96-94.
The victory means Cameron remains unbeaten since her second fight with Katie Taylor in 2023, bringing her professional record to 23 wins in 24 encounters. Mayer, who now has three defeats in 25 fights, disagreed with the decision, claiming she "outboxed" Cameron.
The fight, held at BP Pulse Arena, headlined the event marking the fifth anniversary of Most Valuable Promotions (MVP). MVP's next women's boxing arena event is scheduled for November in Texas.
