The Kansas City Chiefs beat the Denver Broncos 31-10 on Monday night. Kenneth Walker III, in his Chiefs debut, ran for 173 yards and scored two touchdowns.
Patrick Mahomes, playing nine months after tearing his ACL, threw for 184 yards and two scores. He also contributed a 15-yard touchdown run on the Chiefs’ opening drive.
Walker III carried the ball 23 times, achieving the most rushing yards by a Chiefs player since 2012. He also had three catches for 18 yards.
The Broncos' offense struggled, with Bo Nix throwing for 131 yards, an interception, and a lost fumble. Jaylen Waddle, acquired in the offseason, had one catch for two yards.
