New South Wales police have reported that a child has died in a stabbing attack in the Blue Mountains. Two other children and a woman are currently in hospital in critical condition.
Emergency services responded to reports of three children and a woman with stab wounds in a vehicle on Waratah Road, Valley Heights, on Sunday afternoon. Members of the public reportedly administered first aid before emergency services arrived.
One child was found deceased in the vehicle. NSW Ambulance treated the two other children, believed to be under five, and the woman, believed to be in her 40s, at the scene before they were taken to Westmead Hospital, where all three remain in critical condition.
A crime scene has been established, and police have stated they are not looking for any other individuals at this time. Authorities are appealing for anyone with information, mobile phone footage, or dashcam footage to contact Crime Stoppers.
