Patrick Clancy and his wife Rachel Danis are set to speak publicly on Sunday about the Massachusetts triple-murder trial of his former wife, Lindsay Clancy. Mr Clancy told 60 Minutes, "I live with it every day, but I think I did the best I could."

The interviews come as Massachusetts prosecutors are expected to decide later this month whether to retry Lindsay Clancy. A hearing is slated for September 29 at Plymouth superior court.

A trial over the summer ended in a mistrial when a single juror rejected the defence position that Ms Clancy had carried out the killings due to postpartum psychosis, which would mean she could not be found criminally responsible. The trial concerned the deaths of the couple's three children, Cora, five; Dawson, three; and Callan, eight months old, in January 2023.

Mr Clancy, who testified for the prosecution but has supported his former wife, has been subject to speculation online. An attorney for Mr Clancy earlier this month threatened legal "consequences" over what he called a "relentless, escalating and destructive defamation campaign" targeting his client.
