A child remains in a critical condition and a murder investigation is underway following an incident at a house in Dungannon. Police said the body of a man was found alongside the injured child, understood to be a girl, at a property in Lisnahull Road at about 11:00 BST on Saturday.
A male arrested on suspicion of murder and attempted murder remains in custody. A woman who sustained non-life threatening injuries during the incident has been released from hospital.
Det Ch Insp Robinson of the Police Service of Northern Ireland (PSNI) stated that the cause of the man's death has not yet been formally established, with post-mortem examinations due to take place. Police do not believe there is any ongoing risk to the public and are not seeking anyone else in relation to the deaths.
