Cochrane has published an update to its ongoing systematic review of smoking cessation tools. The review assesses methods such as vaping, nicotine gums, nicotine patches, and behavioural support.

This latest analysis incorporated 80 randomised controlled trials, involving a total of 29,861 participants. Nine of these trials were new additions since the previous version of the review.

The review aims to determine the certainty of evidence and conclude which methods are most effective in helping people stop smoking.
