The Commonwealth Games in Glasgow are building to their finale, with the penultimate day featuring the return of the mile on the track for the first time since 1966, replacing the 1500m. Scottish runners Jake Wightman and Josh Kerr are expected to contend for the men's title, with Kerr having recently lowered the world record for the event.
Saturday also sees the conclusion of boxing, with 14 gold medals on offer, and the netball semi-finals. England, who beat South Africa on Thursday, face New Zealand, while Australia meet Jamaica in the other semi.
The Tour de France Femmes begins on Saturday, with Pauline Ferrand-Prévot aiming to repeat last year's victory. She faces a strong field led by Dutch rider Demi Vollering, who is viewed as the pre-race favourite after winning the Giro d'Italia this season.
Sunday's final day of the Commonwealth Games features 15 gold medals, including the netball final and track cycling events. In the women's keirin, Great Britain's Olympic medal-winning trio of Katy Marchant, Sophie Capewell and Emma Finucane will compete, with New Zealand's Ellesse Andrews considered the one to beat.
