Conor Benn has opened up about fatherhood and his values ahead of Saturday's WBC welterweight title fight against Ryan Garcia in Las Vegas.
Speaking from Los Angeles, the 30-year-old Briton said his children changed him after he initially struggled with the pressures of being a father and partner. 'I just couldn't cope with it at the time,' he said. 'Towards a year-and-a-half in, I looked at my son and... he changed me then.'
Benn, who has two sons and a daughter with wife Victoria, said every decision he makes is now for his family. 'My non-negotiable: every man should do their best to provide and protect,' he said.
On Garcia, Benn said: 'We're just not the same. My pillars are very different to his. Mine's family, working hard, choosing the hard way... whereas he's one of these Gen Z kids, 'kid-men' who want an easy life.'
