Court Hears Allegation Alan Jones Kissed Driver in Hotel Suite Wardrobe

A court has been told that Alan Jones allegedly kissed his driver, identified as Complainant C, inside a walk-in wardrobe in a Melbourne hotel suite.

  • Complainant C gave evidence at Alan Jones's trial in Sydney, alleging an incident in a hotel suite.
  • Jones has pleaded not guilty to 20 indecent assault charges and two counts of sexual touching.
  • The court heard Complainant C later discussed the alleged incident with journalists and a colleague.

Alan Jones allegedly kissed his driver, a young man referred to as Complainant C, inside a walk-in wardrobe within James Packer’s personal suite at the Crown Towers hotel in Melbourne, a court has heard. Complainant C provided evidence on Monday at Jones’s trial at Sydney’s Downing Centre local court.

Complainant C stated that he and a friend were visiting Melbourne for a sporting event and went for a drink in Jones’s room. He told the court that Jones offered to give him a tour of the suite alone, leading him into a "pretty big" walk-in wardrobe. There, Jones allegedly said, "I've missed you" and kissed him.

Complainant C testified that he pushed Jones back, saying, "Let's go back to [my friend]." The court heard that Jones stopped and the two men returned to the lounge room. Jones has pleaded not guilty to 20 indecent assault charges and two counts of sexual touching relating to six men.

Complainant C, the second alleged victim to give evidence, told the court he later disclosed the alleged abuse to friends, family, and journalists Peter FitzSimons and Kate McClymont. He also recounted a conversation with 2GB broadcaster Ray Hadley in October 2019, where he described some of Jones's actions as "quite fucked up."

The trial, presided over by Judge Glenn Walsh, is ongoing.
