Mag confirmed that passenger safety and aviation security were not compromised during the incident. The company also stated that neither Mag nor the compromised system held customers' bank or payment details.
The accessed data largely consisted of customer email addresses, primarily linked to Wi-Fi sign-ups within the airport terminals. Phone numbers, vehicle registration numbers, and postcodes were also accessed. Airport operations at all three locations remain unaffected.
London Stansted Airport has advised customers to be cautious of unexpected emails, calls, or text messages claiming to be from the airport, emphasising that they will not unexpectedly request payment or banking information.
