The celebrity lawyers representing US musician D4vd, David Anthony Burke, in his murder trial have withdrawn from the case. Mr Burke, 21, will now be represented by the Los Angeles County Public Defender's Office.
Mr Burke pleaded not guilty to murder charges in a Los Angeles court on Monday. He has also entered not guilty pleas to charges of first-degree murder, mutilation of human remains, and child sexual abuse.
Prosecutors allege Mr Burke stabbed Celeste Rivas Hernandez, 14, after years of sexual abuse, before dismembering her body. Her remains were reportedly found in September 2025 in a Tesla registered to his address.
A judge determined last month that Mr Burke will stand trial for murder. A pretrial hearing is set for 19 October.
