David Byrne, the former frontman of Talking Heads, has released an expanded edition of his latest solo album, 'Who Is The Sky?'. The new version includes four bonus tracks, among them two new songs: 'My Madness' and '¿Cuál Es La Razón?'.
The original album, which featured contributions from artists such as Hayley Williams, St. Vincent, and The Smile's Tom Skinner, was initially released in September 2025. Byrne stated that the new songs were cut from the initial album not due to quality, but to maintain a variety of grooves and subjects.
Byrne also discussed the evolving nature of albums in the streaming era, noting that while vinyl offered a fixed experience, streaming allows for changes over time. He described 'My Madness' as a personal favourite, exploring a reconciliation with one's perceived 'madness'.
Looking ahead, Byrne is scheduled to release his new book, 'Sleeping Beauties', on October 8. This will be followed by a book tour across the UK in November.
